while reading this I can’t help but remember how Dan Olson described his process of churning out an Amazon-slop book at the rate at which ghostwriters are often expected to produce, relying on enumeration, definition, and endless quoting of other sources in order to meet the daily word count and stay on pace. I can’t claim that that’s what brooks is doing here, but it sure reads like it

trudging through this book I was given for free at work. part I was so orientation-core, but part II has had both side-eye worthy both-sides type political discussion and a very earnest and vulnerable look at mental health. so, mixed bag I guess. we’ll see
