protagonist quintana continues to give steve urkel "i'm wearing you down" and it's actually funny, unlike urkel where it's supposed to seem funny AND harmless AND endearing (isn't it so cute that he doesn't take laura's nos for an answer because he "loves" her <3). this is more the cindy and libby jimmy neutron pointing and laughing meme. i am pointing and laughing at quintana.

the tone is immaculate so far. slightly strange, funny, and absurd. plus only nine pages in and we have a doctor with an anthropomorphic tool he’s not allowed to use in the hospital… yeah, it’s giving dead ringers, it’s giving existenz bone gun, and i’m eating it up! yup!
