The writing style is different in a way not sure that I like. But I don’t fully dislike. Or maybe it’s what the detectives mainly focus on that I don’t like. Feels as if it comes second to their constant fight of helplessness, disgust. Which by the authors nite is in a way what they wanted to focus on. But idk I feel by writing it how it is written kind of dims the ‘allure of a mystery to solve’
