The pretension is killing me. I expected it, but did not grasp the extent. Like going to Amsterdam and being hit by the sheer number of bikes. You know about it, you think you've understood it from pictures and descriptions, but it's so outside your experience that you're never really prepared for that first wave of rubber and aluminium.
