It's a page turner. I had to laugh at the rebel leader's name being "Obi" and him talking about "striking back". I wonder if that Star Wars reference was intentional.

I just finished this one myself, for a YA book I was surprised at how engrossed I was in the story. I can't wait for the next one.

Oh, and if you like this one you should go check out Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor... that but was simply outstanding, so so beautifully written.
I like this one because the heroine keeps her focus. She has a goal and despite one hunk of a hot angel distraction, she's continually striving to achieve it. I'll have to check out your recommend. I've heard of it, but haven't read it yet.
She's young, I think that she hasn't built a vocabulary or a frame of reference for her sexual self. If she were 10 years older I think it would have been game-on.
