‘How dare you?’ she hissed. ‘How dare you!’” I appreciate how realistic Santha’s trauma is and how it is not conveniently swept under the rug.

I have had less time to read today than I hoped but I have to say how much I (still) love Biahnd and Santha’s growing relationship. One of their scenes made me almost cry! I am not ready for what is to come.

“Despite her best efforts, Biahnd showed little interest in proper conversation. Instructions, however, she delivered with zeal. How very like Dandon.” I love how much personality Biahnd already has. She is such an interesting character and I have immediately fallen in love with her!

“‘Why don’t you want me to see my goats?’ she asked.” Do not mess with Santha and her goats, Dandon!

Poor Santha. It just keeps getting worse for her.
