Because Luca’s love for the princess is beautiful and visible.
Amarande seems pretty impartial besides the occasional “go to dangerous situations to protect someone I love” but that’s just a character trait of hers Not something special for him.
He shows his love. She tells us about it.
(It’s a bit better this book but still gosh, Luca is a literal saint listening and helping you, can it be reciprocated??)
