No, no, and no, every chapter is a new character with a new story. Nothing building in the book. It is an accumulation of possible story lines that came to the author's mind. The best way she could find to include all of them: introduce a new character every chapter, tell their story and weakly link that character to the previous one. At the end, only have a bunch of characters with small stories. Waste of time.

The story is uninteresting and discontinuous. There are many time leaps and every chapter introduces a new character's perspective and by the end they all combine. Not my cup of tea. Will probably drop the book. It is slow moving and haphazard.
