this was an excellent first pick for the spooky season because I'm thoroughly enjoying this to the degree that I don't want to put it down. and boy is the way everyone casually talks in this just off the key of normal in vaguely terrifying ways! "I'm working on it. I can make a deal." not just "I can deal" my dude? "make a deal" ?? who we making deals w guys ??

so far, I am really enjoying this! very eerie start, lots of unanswered questions I'm genuinely interested in and just a good writing style.
