Thoughts after reading chapter 1:
- It’s been so long since I watched the movie that I don’t remember seeing the boy’s sister in the movie at all.
- I’m sorry but worst teacher ever. He sees a student acting rude to a vulnerable deaf student and he decides to seat the student with the bully tendencies right behind the vulnerable student. Like that isn’t a recipe for disaster!🤦🏻♀️

Thoughts after reading chapter 2:
- It’s nice to know my instincts about the teacher were right: he is a bad teacher!
- I understand that as a kid meeting a deaf person can lead to curiosity which can manifest as bullying, but it was immensely irresponsible of the teacher to foster those thoughts in the boy’s mind. As an adult he has failed the kids, let alone failing all of the students as a teacher. Terrible!
