"Nona" and "Survival Type" this evening, both of which were new to me and absolute knockouts!

Gramma - Creepy, a little too long though.
Partway through the second to last story and it feels like I'm spinning my wheels... Feeling like this collection could have used just a bit more curation. Some really great ones in here, but the majority are just average.

"Uncle Otto's Truck" - Eh, didn't do much for me. Tale of obsession.
"Milkman" Stories #1 and #2 - Really didn't do much for me.
Not my favorites, but King continues to show his great he is at capturing both the setting and dialect of his characters.

Three good ones, including "Beachworld", "The Reaper's Image", and "The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands".

"The Raft" - Really great and gory... but like so much other Stephen King, it is let down by the female characterization and unnecessary (and poorly timed) sex.
"Word Processor of the Gods" Pretty fun; cool idea of what someone could do if they had infinite power for a brief moment.
"The Wedding Gig" - King should stay in his lane, not a great mafia story.

"The Jaunt" - a reread for me I was greatly looking forward to. One of the best short stories ever written, regardless of genre, full stop. Seriously, if you've never read it, go check it out!
"Mrs. Todd's Shortcut" - I love when seemingly mundane scenarios become increasing uncomfortable and impossible. A story about a woman who tries to find the best route in her car.

"Here There Be Tygers": interesting story about childhood anxiety.
"The Monkey": feels like I've read stories like this before, where some creepy object keeps showing up at different times in someone's life. Fine. Good writing on an abusive nature between father/son.
"Cain Rose Up": harrowing.

"The Mist" - reread for me, enjoyed the claustrophobic atmosphere and the religious fanatics, but the tension never really felt high after about the halfway point. Movie is better.
