I'm not quite ready to sit this one down, but it's hockey season and I'm so into watching games and reading hockey romances. And the Heated Rivalry adaption is dropping at the end of the month, so I need to do a re-read for that ... BUT GUYS, this is genuinely starting out so well. Should I dnf if the interest isn't there right now?? It's an arc so I really need to, but but but HOCKEY!!!

I'm in love with the way the writing itself feels like alchemy. Cyclical, transformative. And the situation with Sam in particular loops through stages of deconstruction and reconstruction. I'm in love.

As a huge Fullmetal Alchemist fan, I'm so excited to see how alchemy is used in this book! I'm also enjoying the dual POV between Sam and Ari, who have been written wonderfully so far.
