If Melanie keeps referring to Dani as "the girl" in her internal monologue, I'm gonna scream. For goodness sake, it's not even third person! Both POVs are written in first person so you can use Dani's name or "she" or anything other than "the girl"!!!!

And this whole surgery and surrogacy thing? Nothing moves this quick. We all know that there would be psych tests. There would be physical tests. No doctor--especially one who these girls harassed in her own home--would ever agree to oversee a surrogacy for these two. But come on. Someone can't even get their tubes tied without being put through the ringer

One had eggs removed (possibly non-invasive, probably a shallow cut and some maneuvering before stitching up) and the other had a clit reduction. I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't want my doctor saying I'm cool to move and get on my feet the moment I wake up from that. My brother had an entire testicle removed and he didn't jump out of bed and go for a walk.
