I read this book when I was young, now reading to my daughter (4)—she currently, and since the beginning of her life, loves being read to 💕 what are some other simple chapter books that you recommend reading to a 4 year old? I want to start building a TBR for her.

I love this book! :-) Ann M. Martin is one of my favorites. Her abilities as author of standalone novels is underrated.

It's such a sweet book and perfect for a 4 year old to see what a stray animals perspective would be like. We have a dog of our own and love dogs also! This was a book from my childhood so it is fun to reread to my child now :) I used to love The Baby-Sitters Club books by her as well.
