I have no idea where this is gonna go because this novel is so introspective, Vesta only imagining how Magda‘s personality, background, struggles and life could be like in 30 pages. It’s interesting how Magda is a projection of Vesta herself, but at the same time also some daughter figure Vesta seeks to protect. The immigrant experiences for both Vesta and Magda are interesting, let’s see how this goes

Liked it so far, a bit slow and mundane, but I am not uninterested. It‘s not the witty and disgusting Moshfegh you know from MYORAR, Eileen or Lapvona, but you can still identify her. Strange bodies, a lonely soul, grief and death are still super present here.
