I never quite read the entirety of the Screwtape Letters in highschool, so now is the time.
Immediately Screwtape is instructing Wormwood to make sure the “patient” never is open to true argument and therefore not engaging with reason (I think Socratic argument, debate, asking questions, finding the meat of philosophies and arguments and ideas, etc), and instead focus on jargon/“life.”
How fitting. RIP CK
