I wanted to love it! I tried really hard to! But no.
What didn't work for you, out of interest?
It's not really any one particular thing, but even with the terribly awful things happening I felt not much of anything about it. Like, it was fine? But it felt a bit like he wanted the story to tell itself, which I would have been okay with in nonfiction but fiction feels like it's standing on being an Important Story and that wasn't working for me!
