At 83%, almost 1000 pages, and here it is (at last) the plot twist that has fans of the author on the fence. Although I get where they're coming from, I don't think they fully understand how twisted this story is. And the reason why I disagree strongly with the way Senlinyu decided to portray this story.
I'll dive deeper about this on my review. Stay tuned.

I'd like to know whose clever idea was to include the scene of Helena giving birth..and this is related to the war and the supposed overall plot because......?????
This is like the most anticlimactic and uninspired ending I have ever read.
Sorry to those of you who like this book, but this is trash.
Let's keep fanfiction into the fanfiction department, ok?

My dear friends, we made it. Almost there.
Part 3 is just pretty much of the same. Same recycled scenes over and over. Maybe some people like pregnancy tropes, but I loathe them. Specially when it's a forced one like in this book.
The writing keeps being atrocious. The guts some have to compare this to Tolkien or Rothfuss. People, inhaling fungi is bad for your health. LOL.

Part 2 completed. Finally. It's been 84 years. LOL.
Part 3, I'm coming for you. Just a little bit more. We're almost there.

You gotta be kidding me that there's people swooning over this guy Ferron. C'mon. He's a huge walking red flag. He's super controlling and hella possessive. How is this supposed to be romantic? The world's gone mad.

I'm kinda side eyeing the people falling for these characters. No shade. But, the overly possessive broody alpha male is kinda cliche at this point. Fuc####, saying "you're mine" like a psycho, and literally killing innocent people to "keep the FMC safe"....are walking red flags to me.

At 65% (almost 810 pages), and given recent events, I think I'm starting to get the whole picture about this story, and I'm not liking it one bit, how it tries to play with your mind, making up excuses to justify what's unjustifiable.
Someone's past traumas doesn't give them free pass to harm others. Just my two tips.

Please, tell me you didn´t go there, making him the one to save her. Don´t be so bloody obvious. I´m begging you to be smarter than this.

This world makes less and less sense each turning of the page. Which time period is this supposed to be set? There are cars, and photo cameras, they know how to make plasma transfusions and complex surgeries too, they even have bombs. And yet they go around gear up in steel armor and wielding blades and knives. Make it make sense, pleaseeeee.

Nadia Hana Hana This is why I hated this book so much. It's not about writing or depicting brutal, awful things that humans do or what could happen in the war. It's how the author portrays it that is manipulative and distorted

Boban Grujic I'm as tuned as my guitar is.

I´d argue tooth and nails with anyone that this is not love. At all. I´d love to even have a chat with the author, who said they wanted to portray love as an obsessive thing, and not idealized.... M´aam. That´s not love. Let´s just draw the line that that´s not love. Go read Erich Fromm´s definition about what love is. Whatever there is between Helena (Hermione) and Ferron (Malfoy) is not love. It´s trauma bonding, and it´s disgusting. They´re making people believe that love can born out of abuse and that´s so twisted. People liking this book and excusing Ferron are forgetting something vital: he always had the upper hand. He could´ve chosen not to do the things he did, even at the risk of his own life, but he didn´t. He willingly did all those things. And that´s inexcusable.

Nadia Hana Hana That is my ultimate problem with this book. I can see how the author was just trying to make the SA scene ethical. That's it. They twisted and not fully understand the source-material, which is Handmaid's Tale. In HT, any of the SA and abuse were never romanticized. There is never an attempt to make it seems like it is excuse-able or justified. This book has single-handedly create what misogyny and patriarchy tried to instill in women for centuries which instead of focusing on the victim and how the abuse and SA ruined her, it focused on Draco's/the perpetrator's guilt, love, sacrifice, painting him to be a martyr. That is a message that author sends. And they try to twist it into unconditional love??? I read Erich Fromm works when I was in college and I am completely agree with you. That is love, definitely not Alchemised. If the author wanted to show unconditional love, they will make Draco/Keine die or off himself in the end, and not validate a distorted "love story" like this
