This always starts out so weirdly like a (bad)contemporary romance. It's shocking that it goes so good later. It's such an awkward beginning scene.

Time for a re-read. I cannot stand ANYTHING right now so hopefully, this re-read will help me!

So far, this isn’t what I thought it would be. I thought it would be more medieval times. Not modern.

I’m not a fan of hearing of her f*** buddy when I start out when I’m pretty sure that’s not the relationship I’ll be reading about. Not sure about this book.
