The thing about me is if I like a book but hate a subplot, I will simply skip the subplot. I'll skim it for any pertinent character info, but pretend like the rest doesn't exist. I'm sure the internet would have loud opinions about that but 🤷♀️.
In this book, I'm having fun with every bit of it, except for the dumb MC subplot, so to me, it no longer exists. Duane is so sweet.

Ok, I'm like really enjoying this. I'm out of audiobook hours on Spotify for the month, so I have to switch to the Kindle version, but I'm going to miss the narrators with their southern accents! Sweet Duane just said, "I want to know you, and I want to be known," and I'm trying to recover from the vulnerable sweetness 😩

So the Winston's have always interested me, and starting now just feels right. I need a completed series with a full family cast and a small town to beat my current decision fatigue. Life's hard. Choosing books should not be. So yeah! First 4 chapters definitely have my attention!
