fighting my way through this one I just have like no desire to pick it up and though I really do want to finish it. it’s truly not a bad book I’m just not engaged with this story or these characters really. the slow burn and edging and OBVIOUS drama that’s going to unfold (that the fmc is too dense to piece together or realize) is just UGH. buss down slumpiana

really digging this so far. but I couldn’t help but wonder… will every war academy give fourth wing vibes from here on out? from the studious fmc with her pals to the broody mysterious mmc to the shady academy with secrets they’re not telling the student body…? this is giving me so much Harry Potter/Fourth Wing + fae vibes BUT the world building, complex fmc, and her loreee are keeping me SAT!

got this book as an ARC and missed the email so I’m playing catch up :-) BUT, I’m really enjoying it so far. it is giving fourth wing because it’s an academy setting with a war brewing in the background.. BUT I like that it’s fae vs. the dragons. the plot seems rather predictable so far with who the fmc is (currently powerless human but I like she’s a fighter and not weak)… we shall see though!
