Oh my God. A new open door scene. Listening to this is torture. This book is better enjoyed read so you can skip through all the meaningless smut. This is a waste of 516 pages. Sigh. I’m so disappointed.

This book (like most modern books) suffers from lack of editing. Many (too many) chapters exist just to allow the MCs get their freak on without any plot point. Makes sense if this is fanfiction (it is!) but as a published stand alone work, it just feels excessive and long. I love a good sex scene. These just tire me out. I’m quite disappointed in this book.

On the plus side, these are some good sex scenes. Just feels exhaustive. Reminds me of reading tryst six venom and how I dragged my feet because I was tired of all the sexing. Lolol.

So they just be fucking. I’m not a prude but I need me some plot. Something. I guess we’re using the sex to build the emotional connection that we’re not otherwise building with plot and character development. Sigh. Really wanted to like this.

I don’t find this book compelling. Which is shocking. Quinn Riley just sounds overly breathless. I think Abby Craden would have handled this better. Also, the romance timeline seems rushed and I’m not invested in the romance. The sexual tension feels somewhat contrived even if the smut is great. Sigh.

Okay. Enjoying this.
