Part III ——-> Wasn’t even really a Tam Lin retelling. What was the point?

Continued —-> And what was the point of Greer agonizing over accepting her mother’s powers when they ended up doing absolutely nothing in the end? Is Greer capable of doing anything on her own? Does she actually have any abilities besides just standing there and screaming? Will she ever stop acting like a teenager? The answer to all of these is: no. The more I think about it, the more this book pisses me off.

Finished this, but I’m writing this in lieu of an actual review. That ending was so ass. I wasn’t super sold on the book the whole way through, but the ending was just a terrible slog. Why did she introduce a second love interest over halfway into the book, only to make him the loser and also unceremoniously kill him in the last 10 pages? Why is he here? Just to suffer?

Heard that this was a Tam Lin retelling, so here I am. Before I started, I read through some of the reviews, and the biggest complaint was that the mc—despite being 27–still acted like a 17 year old YA protagonist. And, yeah.
