I’m intrigued. So was that voice Teacher Choi or something supernatural? That ending bit may have been a flashback rather than a time loop. Is it like an eternal punishment for what Teacher Lee did to Choi, by supposedly taking her husband?

That was such an intriguing story. There’s karma in revenge… but for both sides. Was the revenge worth it? People act selfishly all the time. I think the moral wrong here was the effect on innocent people like the grandson.

& the bit about it replacing her and living her life in her place is the mental illness taking over. She’s succumbed to the psychosis and is no longer the one at the wheel.
The ending is ambiguous—she could very possibly escape the toilet bowl the same way the head did.
Does mental illness struggle to conquer us the same way we seek to conquer it? Is it valiant on both sides of the fight? Survival of fittest?

OHHH possibly The Head represents a mental illness that builds over time. Schizophrenia? It eventually consumes and replaces her.
It’s not necessarily that it forms its body with discarded matter, but that it forms its body with TIME. And discarded matter is just a literary way to quantify that time.
She keeps trying to flush it away and live her life but it keeps appearing and causing significant mental distress

The Head - Holy crap that was FASCINATING. The style reminds me a lot of Junji Ito stories. It mixes supernatural elements perfectly into a sort-of believable realism with that creeping horror lurking
Would 1000% read this one agin.
I wonder what the head symbolizes. An abortion? A past self? Past trauma she keeps trying to flush away, but that keeps building and eventually consumes her? Maybe CSA
