I want to know more about the society in which this takes place. Not how the society formed, though. No, I think we’re living a possible origin story.

I don’t want to live in this world anymore.

Most of these kids have more compassion for their fellows than this society does for anyone.

The sick thing is, I can see all playing out in the real world under some disgusting POS like Hegseth.

Why are so many people clamouring to witness such a spectacle? Taking it only as entertainment? I wish I could say the real world wouldn’t do this, but that would be a lie.

One chapter in. I want to know WHY this “competition” is even a thing.

I haven’t read this one, nor have I seen the new movie adaptation. Sounds like it’ll be interesting, though, if unsettlingly morbid.
