I read two more chapters with mum tonight. First time picking up the book in a long while due to… feelings. I was very grateful to have a friend sit with me while I was reading.

I read the most recent 3 chapters of this book to a crowded hospital ICU room as the whole family listened along to “story time with Miki” while my mum was palliating. Mum passed away at 3:28am on August 27th 2025, a few hours later.
Now I’ll be reading the rest of the book out loud outside to her so she can listen on the wind. ❤️🦋
