It is really funny that the author keeps going "(made up alien species) are indistinguishable from earth humans. They are 8 to 10 feet tall."

Like that's actually very distinguishable then

"Their eyes are either black or blue and appear Caucasian or Japanese in shape"

One of those is WILDLY specific

Also those are two wildly different eye shapes and colors

Okay invented a fake alien with a species wide addiction to trying new flavours is actually really funny

The fact that so many of these supposed aliens are just slightly odd looking humans is Telling

Usually when I read a book like this that relies on the idea that the audience already believes in it the further I get the more I feel like I'm being inducted into a cult

This book on the other hand feels more like watching a cult talk bc I still have no clue what the fuck they're saying
