I have just finished the book. It ends with Montag finding refuge with traveling book rebels, hiding from the government. Months no longer knows anyone else, considering that a bomb was just dropped on the city. A very significant part of the book is when Mildred turns in her own husband to the firemen. obsessed with un importaet things. Instead of getting to know one another and get to know the world they killed each other and crammed their brain with useless information. They were unaware that the rest of the world was being starved and killed. That scene reflected the them elf the book, that books thpeach us to be tolerant of other things and care about other things other then themselves.
