I love Samantha's voice. And I'm also fond of bugs and vultures. And you can't go wrong with T. Kingfisher, right? I thought it might be fun to read something creepy for October, but I keep worrying that this is going to turn too scary for me.

I wouldn't actually classify this as horror, if you are worried about scary. This is even tamer than all the fantasy stuff I read as a teenager.

I don’t like Horror Horror, if that makes sense. I read more like Cozy Horror.This one freaked me out but not overwhelming so.
