The issue I have of this book is gaining a bearing on what is surrounding the scene of Conan Doyle('s time) and that of Sherlock's Victorian era. He jambs in so much references to other people and books, that non of it really makes much sense!! Maybe it'll read like a Sherlock Holmes book, where the strands start to make sense and the bigger picture is revealed??
He just does a bad job setting the scene of intrigue!
