The protagonist, Billie, is such a strong, empowering character, total girl power vibes. The story jumps back and forth in time, but I like how each chapter starts with the date, so it’s easy to follow along. This section dives into how Billie got involved with the organization. The writing is smooth and easy to read, and I’m definitely enjoying it so far.

Had to re-read a few chapters to keep track of the characters, but it’s really picking up. Fast, easy read, and I’m loving it so far. Mysterious, funny, and also surprisingly graphic at times — definitely not what I expected.

I’ve made it through most of the book and I’m feeling mixed about it. It’s funny and fast-paced, but some scenes feel a little too drawn out. It’s not quite what I expected going in, but overall, it’s been a quick and entertaining read.

I think I read too quickly and might’ve missed a few details. I borrowed this book from the library, so it sucks that I can’t go back and check my notes. I really like how the story jumps back in time; those chapters keep the book interesting. Chp. 18, set in November 1981 was a fun chapter to read. Billie meets this guy who definitely gives off hot, mysterious energy.

Got some backstory on Billie. Didn’t expect a few of the things that happened! My mind wandered through a couple of chapters (ADHD problems), so I might’ve missed some details. It got a little slow for me at times, but overall, it’s fine. Gotta look back in my notes. Once I get home from traveling.

I’ve read quite a few chapters now, and I’m making so many connections! Even though the characters are older, I can totally relate to them, haha! Some of the locations mentioned are places I know well, which makes the story feel even more personal. I even spotted a few familiar names and terms along the way! I’m starting to get into it now, and I’m loving it.

I’m on chapter four, and so far it’s been really interesting. The book opens with a Mission: Impossible–style sequence, then jumps to the present in the next chapter. It seems like each chapter switches between the past and the present. The author also breaks the fourth wall at one point, speaking directly to the reader, which I didn’t expect. Not sure if I’m into that. Not many memorable quotes either.
