Chapter 5. It’s May 1966. She just got to Saigon. Had to google to wrap my brain around what’s going on… north Vietnam- communist, south Vietnam - against communism. US gets involved to fight communism basically. We lose. North Vietnam captured Saigon (capital of south Vietnam). They actually renamed Saigon to honor their communist leader… that’s crazy. Would love to visit Vietnam tbh.
