This book seems to be weirdly fixated on making things sexy. In a way that doesn’t really add to the story. 🤷🏽‍♀️ but the story itself is interesting enough.

I’m pretty conflicted about this adventure. I definitely think I could have lived a life time without a front row seat to Rahl’s ritualistic child murder rituals. But I guess that is why he is the bad guy.

Don’t have the exact page number… But we love it when a character stands in place and does an exposition of the things they know that no one else does AFTER someone else voices that they should get going because it’s not safe here. Definitely means that character is going to live forever.

But this book IS 31 years old so I guess we can give it a pass for some of “old fashion” style choices and tropes.
