I really like how expansive this series has become. To have a story be compelling AND span 10,000+ years on multiple planets without the reader getting lost is really quite impressive.

These last two books have had such large time jumps I feel like I am starting all over every time. This one is worse because there is no character continuity. I get that the universe builds on itself but it all just seems too big. I recognize that these books have always been about the big picture, "plans within plans" etc. I just worry I will not find a character to enjoy this time and get lost looking for the plot.
