Having read 1984 previously this book was always on my list - but as my mind is fickle it took me some time to get to this one and also the premise of animals revolting against their human owner didn't appeal to me much in hindsight.
But starting this story and completing chapter 2 with the milk all gone - gives us an insight about what communism is all about in reality. I wonder which commandment will go down first

Always wanted to read this book after reading 1984, which is an Epic - (dystopia at its best and also a world we are steadily moving towards and which makes me fear for tomorrow). Also an allegory about Stalin (which means "man of steel") who has murdered millions of people through his oppressive and cruel rule of totalitarianism - something to read. I always wanted to know more about Stalin.( Reds were called worse)
