I finished this but skimmed the last quarter. I think this just wasn't really the book for me and i'm interested to see his other work and see how that goes. I don't feel comfortable rating it because I wasn't engrossed completely in the story. If y'all want to read victor lavalle the vibes between all of his books so far have been so different from eachother so fair warning

Honestly not loving this 😔 it's a lot of telling me what happens and what relationships are and I'm just kind of bored and don't care about anyone. I loved The Devil in Silver and liked The Changeling by him so really bummed thus far
