I think my favorite romance trope is one when character knows they’re starting to act/think strangely around their love interest, but they haven’t quite pieced together ~why~ yet 😅

Why can’t I make eye contact with my shidi anymore without getting all nervous? Why am I trying to memorize how many eyelashes he has when I can’t see his face? Why did I paint his likeness for 100 years? It’s a mystery…

Reaaaally struggling to finish this one 😩 around the 75% mark, it’s felt more and more like a slog to get through. I would DNF, but I’m too stubborn and kinda just want to see how everything balances out. Mind you, it’s not terrible, like, it’s still Priest, but it’s feeling more like a chore atm
