Very touching and complicated as I was expecting an honest memoir about your demanding, loving and flawed parent to be. The 10% saying cuts too deep.

(Can't believe Zauner had the chance to catch early Joanna Newsom playing live and was not deeply touched and forever transformed by that, I'd be!)

I guess it's just one of those things that you cannot believe are that popular because it bores you to death, but suddenly you realize there are billions of people who love just that, from culinary novels to Taylor Swift I'm always adding new things to the list. I date someone who loves casually reading recipe books and before them I never even knew this was a thing!
