Allison's parents died when she was very young. She and her sister were taken in by an aunt/uncle and threatened/verbally abuses that if the didn't behave they would send one of the girls away to foster care.
Now the sisters are grown up, one is married and moved away the other is in college but still being used by the despicable pair.

So great to be reading a well written book. Yes it is another FBI story but this one has past characters which I like and a hacker!
