Ai chat bots act too real- they act like they have thoughts and emotions- it’s no wonder men get attached. And especially ones that perpetuate that abuse is okay- it’s disgusting

The sentiment is nice (we’re fighting for you until these sorry excuses of human beings are taken as seriously as they should be) but change has just been so slow. Women aren’t seen as people. And with the way society is going- I don’t have hope.

Revenge pornography is not a scandal, it's a sex crime.

FULL agree- and the break down of the term/language "revenge porn" brings shame and guilt to the victims- as if they had any choice in the matter. It pisses me off so much how women's bodies are profited from, objectified, and seen as conquest. It makes me feel violent.

Georgie's story pisses me off so much. How incompetent can our legal system get- WORLDWIDE - he didn't mean to hurt her!?! well he did. In the same vein- I could stab someone and claim "well I didn't mean to hurt them" WOULD I GET OFF SCOT FREE!? NO. So why is this man getting away with sexually harassing her for MONTHS completely betraying whatever trust was once there?

The way this section ended- "this is about appreciating sex and wanting to save it from becoming co-opted by the patriarchy into yet another site for oppression and violence."- with everything talked about in this section- I couldn't agree more. In all of the language used in these brothels- it insinuates consent with an object than cannot consent- an object that is supposed to be a stand-in for real women.

Men's dicks trump women's rights every time.
This last chapter- while the easiest for me to get through (probably because I was already aware of all of the information this time) left me thoroughly disgusted. I am left feeling less and less human. Because of the treatment disgusted- it is clear that women are not treated as such.

The new age of rape- has been the easiest section to get through in this book- which is really stating something. Why do men need a sex doll to substitute for a woman to bear the brunt of male rage and violence? Why do they feel like they can do that at any capacity? Wouldn’t the doll make them feel more comfortable in perpetuating their actions????

I'm glad I took a step back from this book for a bit because it is such a hard read.
When reading horror- is less horrifying than reality. We're cooked. The victim blaming of it all- just not being taken seriously, and looked down on for existing as a woman- just. awful.
