I’m sitting here trying to think of one of Sir Paul McCartney’s songs. Which one is it about not being able to go back home? Thinking of when all my siblings and I started leaving the nest. We couldn’t stay kids forever. One day we’re grown and there isn’t that childhood home to go back to. Things have changed. Parents have moved to someplace new and unfamiliar. We can’t go back.

Golden Slumbers “Once there was a way to get back home.” It’s this line, and it’s kills me when I listen to the song. I mean, I don’t know what is going to happen with the sisters yet, but I think of how it’s natural to leave your childhood home. It’s sad though not being able to go back. So of course I see what’s at stake, especially with the house being alive.
