Those were the most boring chapters I've read in a while and then she fucking eats a cat????? that was so gross, why would you describe it in that much detail?? if i'm not meant to hate Alice, this book is failing so violently

That is the lamest fucking backstory ever and oh I HATE that Peter was all head-over-heels for Alice from the first time they met because of course he was — that is so lame!! enemies to lovers where?? this is insta love in disguise; i hate it so much!!!

i am SO disappointed in this book. probably because i pictured this as a "i have to fight my way through the eight courts of hell with my dumb academic rival because i need my supervisor to be alive to graduate" plot which it is NOT AT ALL. god fuck, i hate this, i did not sign up for this; if i was a quitter i would DNF this shit aahhhhh

We're losing the plot, we're wasting time, and Alice and Peter have literally done NOTHING of any relevance so far, they are so useless!

Alice go absolutely fuck yourself! Don‘t be so genuinely appaled about Peter saying he stole a colon from a corpse after you JUST admitted to the reader that you have a praise kink and killed a bunch of cats and mice in Italy, you absolute psycho, I hope you stay in hell forever honestly

I thought this book would be two people who hate each other for valid reasons having to walk through hell from court to court, facing challenges and having to work on them together which makes them fall in love — but it‘s somehow not at all. The enemies part is so dumb and one-sided that it just annoys me, they don‘t have challenges, they‘re doing a boring short-cug and Peter already had a boner. Great.

I assume this is supposed to be enemies to lovers — which sucks! I hate Alice, I hate Peter and they‘re "enemies" for such dumb reasons. They‘re so childish and their banter is awful; no one talks like this! I‘m so mad honestly

It didn't get better; it only gets worse. Why does this keep happening? Peter is vulnerable and then the narrator says "Peter is always perfect and never vulnerable so this moment is out of the ordinary!" But I don‘t know Peter at all; I have no concept of not-vulberable Peter so this is not shocking to me! And this happens all the time! "This is unusual" but I don't know how it usally is! I'm so pissed off
