It jumps between present and past with different POV for each. The present was less interesting until a third in, which is good timing for the uncertainty and incoming dark times in the past. The writing could be better, but the overall story is intriguing.

At this point, I'm postponing reading because the past last mentioned a pedophile, and I don't want to be down before this week's appointments.
