Do people still use Goodreads as social platform? I still update my books but I have noticed that there are few if any interactions anymore with anyone.

Don’t expect there on Goodreads people will interact with you. Good for the searching book this platform. Probably they want books then just do some search or watch what you have read if they are interested in the books.

Such a shame I remember when goodreads just started, or when I first came on the site. People would recommend books and ask questions but now it's just book searching and monitoring.
