I think I appreciated the gut punches and that’s why I bumped it up a star, but the story itself was meh. Perhaps because I couldn’t really be drawn into this world of street racing and perhaps I’m over authors always describing the mmc as looking like Chris Hemsworth that I more bored than anything and the smexy scenes were too frequent, forced, and not romantic.
