I'm taking a vow of never again reading any YA (or any) book with a title that involves the words Rose, Thorn, Ice, Frost, Blood, Song, Wing, King, Queen, Shadow, Wind, Winter, Ember... We're done. We're at our fucking limit of times you can sensibly rearrange those. This is a finite permutation.

What about Name of the Rose?!? Hopefully you've read that classic before you made this status

I'm happy to hear that, Annie, because Vault of Dreams and The Knight Ascendant (which I'm working on now) do not fall under such guidelines and I would love to hear your inimitable thoughts on them when you get a chance to read them. :)

2) I think I meant books that are coming out in future, not past ones? I likewise have no problem with the Wind in the Willows or tales of King Arthur ;)
I just can't deal with the endless YA titles: Song of Roses! Wind of Shadows! Blood Song/Blood Thorn/Blood Rose! Fire and Ice! King of Shadows! Blood Queen! Ice Queen! Ice and Frost and Snow and Fire and Flame and Ember and Water Queen!
Can't do it anymore.
Great resolution! I don't recommend Name of the Rose either.
