Created by Kate Penshaw, a lonely old lady, her dolls came to life and resided in her #5 Brocklehurst Grove house, after Kate's death. Pilbeam was not finished, but found by her twin, Soobie, their mother finished the work Kate had begun, 40 years earlier. Miraculously, they came and went about, without challenge.
