well, it's happened again. the pittsburgh penguins made me tear up. holly m. wendt's the sum of our doing is so so so good. the paralleling of the camino, the stanley cup finals and the pulse nightclub shooting… god. so dang good. one of my favorite pieces of writing i have read this year, for sure.

pavel buchnevich mention (off sides by susan briante)…. i read this essay a while back and i cannot handle it right now given the state of what the league is up to. it's very good, though.
