VIOLENCE I DID NOT EXPECT

Guilted into promising marriage? Dang. If a man is like this before he marries you, be wary of life after marriage… lol

Oof. Okay, allusions abound. And this book is so well written. I could underline many a well-crafted sentence. But also, the story is giving off Dickens and Brontë vibes at this point.

Plot twist! Why do all of these men love this fickle shallow woman anyway…
