After a long break from this book I am back into it. The first section -- on reading cultures and the war between biblical theology and systematic theology was quite poorly written in my opinion. It had some good core elements but felt that it could have been 20-30 pages shorter. VanHoozer kept going around and around. It did not seem ordered or easy to process.

It has improved already. Lets hope it stays that way.
